New RosFM Station Manager

Newly appointed station manager at ROSFM Seamus Duke has appealed for more presenters and volunteers to help out at the station as he begins his tenure.

“As you may know I have been appointed as the station manager at Roscommon’s community radio station ROSFM with effect from July 12th 2021 and it is a challenge that I am looking forward to immensely.

I have over 30 years experience in the radio industry and the prospect of working in my own local community, along with the board and the excellent volunteers who give their time to the station on an ongoing basis, is something that I relish in the years ahead.

I will be working hard to improve community involvement with the station and we will be unveiling a new schedule in the next few weeks.

ROSFM are always looking for more volunteers and community organisations to get involved with the station and I am making that appeal again with the help of the local newspapers this week.

Anyone who feels that they may have the time to help out in some way, or any community organisation who feel that their work should be highlighted and who might be interested in radio, are very welcome to contact the station on 090-6628161

You can use the volunteer form here. Or alternatively people can call to see me at the ROSFM studios on the Athlone Roscommon Town any day Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm for a chat.

I am looking forward to helping to secure the future of ROSFM and make it an even more important part of community life in Roscommon.” he concluded.
