With the election of Verona Murphy as the new Ceann Comhlaire it looks almost certain that the next Government will comprise Fianna Fail Fine Gael and the Independents. With that election still undecided Emmett Corcoran has been running the rule over the latest political situation.

The new Government must immediately tackle poverty in this country with a cohesive taxation strategy that benefits all sectors of society and particularly those most vulnerable. That’s the view of Michelle Murphy of Social Justice Ireland who spoke to Seamus Duke on the Good Morning Roscommon programme.
