After nine years of misery the people who live close to Lough Funshinagh in South Roscommon have a reprieve in sight from the disastrous annual flooding they have experienced as a new pumping system is being prepared which will alleviate a lot of the problems in the area. Local councillor Laurence Fallon has been telling Seamus Duke about what's planned.

The GAA season begins this weekend with Roscommon Hurlers, footballers and ladies footballers in competitive action. The new rules in Gaelic Football will also come into force and local GAA journalist Kevin Egan has been looking ahead to what we might expect.

The 2025 Roscommon Community Challenge will this year feature runs of 5k and 8k and also a 70k cycle. Training has begun already and Jacqui McCormack has been telling Seamus Duke about preparations for this year's event.
