Roscommon County Council wishes to advise consumers in the areas served by the Roscommon Central Regional Water Supply Scheme that due to an outbreak of Cryptosporidiosis identified in Roscommon Town it is advisable to boil water before use until further notice. The areas affected include Roscommon town and surrounds including the following Townlands: Wearfield, Coolshaughtena, Creevy, Moneen Cross, Coolteigue, Carrowroe , Tullyroe, Ballinagard Cross, Mount Prospect, Rockfield, Runnabracken, Cloverhill, Lissaneaville, Rathconnor, Stonepark and Kilteevan and semi-private group schemes in Lisagallon, Moyliss, Rockfield, Stonepark North Tonlagee, Turville Mount Prospect and Lisnaville. 

It is essential that people in the affected areas boil any water intended for drinking or food preparation.  If you are unsure of the source of your water supply, you should boil your water as a precautionary measure.
