1. RosFm Buddy System
- The 'Buddy'
System is a peer based pairing programme whereby
people with disabilities are given the
opportunity to buddy up to an existing member of
the RosFm radio team while they are working
within RosFm. This system provides opportunities
for people with disabilities to take part in
various aspects of radio programming
(researching, recording, editing, driving the
desk, presenting and production etc) in a
supportive environment. In this way, people with
disabilities are able to take part in the
activities of RosFm and can, should they wish,
progress towards agreed goals. This may mean
simply 'sitting in' on an existing radio
programme or it may mean a more active
involvement in terms of presenting part of a
radio programme. Progression within the 'buddy
system' is determined by the individuals
themselves through discussion with RosFm staff |
