THE ARTS SHOW is produced and presented by Noel Molloy and is broadcast every Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. The aim of the Arts Show is to inform the listener of developments in the Arts and to introduce the people that are working in the Arts, locally, nationally and internationally. The Arts Show covers all aspects of the Arts; visual, poetry, music, theatre, literature, dance etc., and events that are produced in the region. To quote Aideen Barry, Visual Artists Ireland representative in the West of Ireland, from the V.A.I. News Sheet of May/June 2007 : "The West of Ireland boasts 10 publicly run local radio stations. In Ireland we have the largest radio listenership per capita in Europe. In the West in particular most of the local radio stations have arts programs. Roscommon FM have a very good example of an arts program, run by visual artist Noel Molloy (www.rosfm.ie - The Arts Program, presented by Noel Molloy, Wednesdays 7:30pm - 8:00pm). The program has quite a large listenership, encompassing listeners from all artistic communities in the Roscommon and Leitrim area. I have taken part in three radio interviews since starting the role as the VAI's West of Ireland rep. Radio interviews have been quite successful in spreading information on the clinics, and also taking queries from artists about my own role and about the practices of VAI."
